I just wanted to thank the students and parents here for all the information and support on this forum. DS had the most wonderful day and he fell in love with Rice. The trip exceeded every expectation he had. We had an info session/tour then DS went off to lunch with wonderful students, sat in on 2 classes, had an impromptu meet and greet with faculty, had an interview, observed a physics seminar and then we topped it off by having a bite in the student center before heading back to the airport. Everyone we came in contact with was extremely helpful, enthusiastic and genuine.

I wish I was 20+(a few more) years younger and could go there myself!

Although I am not/was never smart enough for a school like Rice, I think the same thing every time I visit D on campus! I'm so glad you both had a great time and that your loves Rice. Good luck to him!

Just back from a wonderful, relaxed Families Weekend, where I saw some
high school students touring the campus. I'm so glad, sunset 131, your son
enjoyed his visit. The kids really collaborate so well with each other, and are also so connected to their professors. I hope you both visited a residential college and could see how they help set Rice apart -- what an amazing university!

Hope you and your son return in April for Owl Days!
Good luck to your son!
