Definitely a water bottle!!!
I have seen these as welcome bags at the hotel and usually include water, snacks like chips or crackers, and Tylenol or advil mini packs. Have also seen a tide pen and his and her favorite candies and candy kisses (in one bag I know these were leftovers from the shower candy that didn’t get eaten or taken home). Nice to have some snacks or little bit of sweets when staying at the hotel.
D has never received any such bags in the multiple weddings she’s attended recently. She was always flying in from LA to HNL for these weddings. There were no such bags at my niece’s destination wedding at a ski resort in CA as well. It just seems one more extra “duty.” Hoping H and fiancée aren’t doing it. Time will tell and we will support whatever they want.
Just attended a wedding weekend out of state last weekend. We were handed a bag at hotel check in that had bottled water, snacks and wedding event schedule. There was also a 4 oz jar of jam but we regifted it to someone who wasn’t flying. I think it would be viewed as a liquid.
It would seem that the OP is asking for “recovery” bag item suggestions. The family has already decided this is something they want to do so they are not asking for advice IF they should do it!
I don’t really drink so have never had a hangover to know so much what to include - but your original ideas seem spot on!
A Bloody Mary kit.
My son used to get bad cramps playing soccer, he always kept pickle juice shots in his soccer bag.
Under eye mask, ear plugs, eye drops, and electrolyte packets are some of the ideas I’ve read about.
Alternatively, a brass band or marching band parading through the accommodations the morning after the wedding.
If the wedding party is in an indoor enclosed space, perhaps the following to be used a few days after…
Gatorade
These types of items could easy be miscontrued as covid relief, something I would not want to be reminded about after an event.
I doubt that lollipops, Pokémon cards, sunscreen/lip balm, postcards, haiku poems, liquid iv and water bottles could be construed as Covid related reminders.
The resort has that covered.
I guess I took “recovery” bags literally. Glad that is not what you’re planning.
