Wedding party favor "recovery" bags

Our daughter is finally having her wedding ceremony (long story, but they were married by the courts during Covid).

Now, she and our new son-in-law, are planning the wedding a little differently, but so far, great ideas which she is keeping confidential from the “rest” of the family until the ceremony. Summer destination wedding.

They are putting together a “wedding recovery kit” that one of the local wedding venues recommended.

Daughter wants to add her own personal touch, to each item, reminiscent of her childhood.
(You know, that silly stuff from Pokemon cards, American Girl, scouting, etc.)

I’m trying to come up with suggestions for the “hangover” part of the kit.

I’ve got some really nice personlized satin bags, on order, from “efavormart”. (5" x 7")

Besides Liquid IV (Costco), Emergen-C, Tylenol, sunscreen/lip balm, and warning labels to consult doctor and keep away from children, any other ideas?
(They’re thinking of Tootsie pops, my late father’s favorite candy.)
We’re open to suggestions!!!

not for the hangover part - at a recent wedding we went to the “bag”
included his (chocolate kisses) and her (sweet tarts) candy. thought it was a cute idea. they also included a tourist type post card from the destination with a stamp and said send to someone you love.

I get what you’re saying. I have received some cute, thoughtful favors from weddings, but I admit that I don’t typically do anything with them … until I run across them ages later & donate or throw out. It wasn’t that I didn’t like or appreciate them, more like I just didn’t need them. But I realize that the giver enjoyed giving.

Her new husband’s family apparently imbibes quite a bit, and it’s a destination wedding for them. None of them has ever been to West Coast.

I have also received these bags and have acquired a bunch of non-expired Tylenol packets that I keep in a baggie, and hand out to my children/friends at events-ball games, tennis matches, etc.

Please do not include Tylenol in a bag for someone who is into heavy drinking. They might take it at the wrong time; Tylenol is incompatible with alcohol. Advil is a better option but not without issues either.

A hot bowl of menudo! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Would a coupon for the hot bowl of menudo at a local restaurant be better for making sure it is hot when consumed?

H’s favorite hangover remedy was always Yoo-hoo.

Yoo-hoo - Wikipedia.

Yes, my other (med) daughter said the same thing. No tylenol!

@Rivet2000, I think the restaurant on-site serves Menudo on Sundays!

I never heard of You-Hoo for a hangover, but then again, I’m a non-drinker.

I’ve heard Alka Seltzer is good for hangovers?

Pickles in a jar so they can drink the pickle juice? I heard some swear by it.

OMG Pickle juice is apparently being sold in individual cans or shot-sized bottles.

We got a bag at a recent wedding. We stayed at the resort for several days so it was nice to have munchies while we were there. Included were several kinds of granola/power bars, some small candy bars, kisses, bottles of water, salty snacks like chips, instant coffee packs from Starbucks, that sort of stuff. We ate it all while we were there. We tossed the little canvas bag it came it…

Cheap pair of sunglasses.

Best groomsmen gift I ever got and still use is a small engraved Swiss army knife.

In addition to the liquid IV, we did small packets of Advil (no one died), small packets of Tic-Tac mints (got off Amazon), water bottles with custom labels (from Etsy) and individual bags of “His Favorite Snack” (Mike & Ike) and “Her Favorite Snack” (Cheese-Its). We got the bags and the “His/Her Favorite” labels from Etsy. She also included a card with the weekend’s schedule printed on it (hers was a destination wedding at a mountain resort).

Those bags drove me nuts and would have been the first thing I eliminated from my “to do” list but apparently, welcome/recovery bags are a Millennial wedding staple… :woman_shrugging:

I forgot…lifesaver large mint and spearmint…individual packets.
