Just how much weight do you think the requiring schools put on the subject tests? D has a 2100 on the SATS and is scheduled to retake them on December 6 because her CR was too low (Math was 750 though) for the presidential scholarships at many of the schools to which she will apply.

That being said, her subject tests were mid 600s (Math2 and Bio) and the schools that require them are looking for much higher scores. Her intended major is biochemistry or neuroscience depending on the offerings. Should she not apply to those schools? Or in the holistic sense, maybe the subject tests don't carry as much weight as the SAT scores, class rank, and GPA (4.2 UW)?

Any advice out there. I feel bad that she didn't do so well, she is notoriously a bad tester. But I do think its more important for her to raise the SAT to become eligible for more merit aid which in the end is going to determine where she goes.
