Weird Feeling?

I HATE when people say "they have a feeling" that I'll get in, or when they say its definite. It's almost like bad Karma.

"oh come on, you are going to get in"..i hate it! ugh im freaking out i havent been able to sleep, eat, or go out with friends. people must think im so lame, whenever i go out all i can talk about is how miserable i'll be if i don't get in.

every time i start to fool myself into thinking i may get in i just think of the us news world report list that has Bowdoin as like the 10th most selective college in the country and then i get really scared again.

Hahaha, this was funny reading this. I go to a great public school with 11 good friends applying to great schools: 2 friends applying to Cornell, 1 to Duke, 3 to UPenn, and 5 to Brown. All of them got deferred or rejected, myself being deferred from Hamilton. We (class of '09) got screwed. College is getting more and more competitive, less and less about the people and more about the "things" you do/get (eg grades ect.) I as well was incredibly confident that I would get into Hamilton, as my counselor and a hired college search group saying my chances were around 75%, but it seems nothing is guaranteed. The worst part is looking on facebook at the "Hamilton class of 2013" and seeing how many people (happy people at that) are in the group. I can't stand it or how they "are better than me" yet we must go on. Good luck to you all and don't let the resentment you feel towards people get to you. gg.

Edit. Hailing from MA, I experienced the ice storm, it was horrrrrrible, trees were falling left and right during the night, my dog was scared ****less..Then friday (yesterday) we had no school because power was out in like half the state.

jealous of your no school...
I'm so glad we have CC to be anxious with other people.
