Do counselors send your transcript via mail or do they just upload it to the common app, where I can send it at the date of my choosing?

I'm asking because I don't want my counselor to send in my transcript before I check if everything on it is right. I want to send it at the date I want, so that I have enough time to check if there are any errors.

Thanks Guys!

Go in and talk to your counselor and ask to check over your transcript as soon as possible, then. Counselors upload your transcript as a PDF to the common app. (Or at least they do at my school, I suppose mailing it would be possible as well.)

Mine had it on PDF, so that probably means that they just upload it to the common app.

Does that mean that I have the control when it will be released to the school I’m applying to? Since I choose when to send the common app.

Uh, as soon as you input your counselor for a school and that counselor submits it, the schools will be able to download it. (Honestly, why is when your transcript released to the school a problem? As long as everything’s in by the deadline it doesn’t matter.)

Because I don’t want the wrong one to be sent. I’m going to make corrections like taking off my test scores.
