I've been admitted to both Rice and Washu as a transfer student. However, I was previously waitlisted at Rice, my top choice last year. However, now I can see myself at either of them.
For those of you previously deferred, denied, or waitlisted, how did you cope with attending that institution later?

What’s there to cope with? Rice didn’t have room for all those qualified before, and now there’s room for you. What’s the big deal?

I’m asking more about others experiences after the transfer process.

You just go and destroy the classes.

i don’t see anything weird about going to a school you were waitlisted at. In most cases, you probably have the same gpa/standings as most other people there. It was probably just a matter of space and other activities that may have stood out on other people’s apps.

i was waitlisted my freshman year at a college, (decided not to get put on the list) and I was accepted as a transfer, and honestly, I don’t find any problem with it.

and experiences after… hmm… you don’t even have to tell anyone you were waitlisted before. and if you do, you’ll probably find a few others who were too (but just don’t want to admit it)

i’m a freshman at emory, and though i don’t know anything about waitlisted–>transfer, i have a bunch of friends here who were originally waitlisted. they seem as happy and successful as anyone else here.

^ Dupes LOL
