Isn’t it weird that… people at Brown, this very second, know our fate. They’ve looked at all of our applications, they’re coming to their final decisions, and have come to some sort of conclusion on our behalf. Does anyone else think that is so weird!!!

Ahhhh, I know. Every few hours this week I blurted out, "Maybe they're looking at my application right now!" I think all my friends are sick of this and they just want me to find out the decision!

lmao i think the same thing.. i just hope that what they 'know' is good for me!

omg... 7 out of 8 friends who applied to columbia got in, the other deferred.

I have no clue what I'm going to do if I become the loser who couldn't get into #15

I would say something to that "#15" comment, but i'll let someone else go for it.... :-)

.... i'm going for it

15 pshht. Browns THE BEST!!!

US rankings is not the end all be all. and brown's ridiculously hard to get into because its a small university.
whats wrong with u!!!!??!

haha thanks semblare... yeah so anyway - 72 hours (+17 until 5:00 PM, but who knows whether thats true or not) people!!! ahhhhh

this is my first post and i must say i have also been obsessing about what the desicion on my status is knowing it's already been made and is floating out their somewhere....i can't wait until monday!!!

ok... whats weird is not knoing that i feel sad for you guys being tormented this way... but it is also very very funny. Maybe cause i am here now, it isnt such a big deal. like once you get in, you just get in, and its great to be here. And this time next year, you will probably have forgotten the whole application process.

well yeesh thats cause youre already in u ungrateful lucky blah blah

Woah, calm down guys. My posts was about other people's perception. Clearly Brown is my dream school and I think its the greatest in the world. The fact is that other kids look at it like the lame duck Ivy.

i was told by my bio lab partner/the valedictorian of my class that brown is a "bottom of the bag ivy"
i was soooo offended...it made me want to kill her and her yale EA

what a weird thing to say...
historically, of people who have a choice between brown and columbia more than half choose brown as demonstrated by the "revealed preferences" rankings

actually... cornell is labeled the easiest ivy......

cornell is only considered easiest to get into because it's so big and has a state funded side. the academics are very rigorous and grade inflation is basically nonexistent, academically it's very hard

isnt the phrase that "cornell is the easiest ivy to get into, and the hardest one to get out of"?

isnt the phrase what?

cornell might be the easiest to get into but academically it is so challenging that it is hard to get out of (ie, graduate)

stop talking about cornell!! lol. I'm like scareeeedd outtta my mind. i'm not gonna be able to do anything w/out thinking about brown...aaaah! I'm like so nervous/scared/overwhelmed/apprehensive/excited/hopeful/hopeless!!! I don't know!!!

ok
so here is how it works with cornell as compared to harvard. its really easy to get into cornell, and its hard to get into harvard. but it is easier, by far, to stay in harvard, then it is in cornell. easy to get in, hard to stay in. and about brown being on the bottom... thats cause they cant beat us so they stick us down there somewhere.. .but only in their minds. it allows them to think they have something to live for
