So I've been perusing the Orientation Week website for information, and I came across a paragraph saying that all incoming students should receive a welcome letter from the College in mid-May (both electronically and through snail-mail) and a flash drive with information on O-Week and registering for classes in "early summer". When have the flash drives arrived in years past? And should I be concerned that I didn't get the welcome letter (electronically, although I think I remember getting a letter matching that description through the mail)?

I don’t think I got an electronic letter. I did get one in the mail with a decal for the college in it though.

If you’re on the Class of 2017 Fb page, they said that the flashdrives would be coming out in the next few weeks.

There’s no reason to be worried?

No need to worry. These will come to you later this month, and you won’t register for courses until you arrive on campus in the fall. All of the information on the flash drive will also be available (although it is not up yet) at orientation.uchicago.edu .

Has anyone received the flash drive? I thought it should have sent out in early July. But we have not received it.

^Nopeeee no flash drives yet! They haven’t been mailed out still.

I got mine today (now yesterday). Pretty sweet!

I heard a lot of Midwest kids got it today (barring people actually in Chicago, apparently their postal service sucks). Tomorrow (or today) is Sunday, so everyone else in the US should get theirs on Monday.

We got it the past Saturday. :-)

a parent.

All the stuff has been uploaded onto the orientation website (orientation.uchicago.edu) if you are yet to receive it in the mail :)

My daughter got hers today… East coast.
