I'm amazed the "Welcome New College Rep" thread is still going...

Catsushi, Olin is by no means an all boys' school. In fact, Olin is one of the most gender-balanced engineering schools across the nation, and probably one of the most gender-balanced faculties as well. And as far as West coasters having no knowledge of Olin, I'm from San Diego and heard about it. Additionally, California continually has the most admitted students for each incoming class.

Thank you for the clarification, Tostie14. I shall spread the word, including to the friend of mine who told me this piece of information. :)

Broetchen, if I did that, I'd have to start a petition for every other college, because every college is really a "top college" or what not. I am merely supporting an ongoing petition for the spirit of participation.

From the Olin website it says that it is reducing the 2010- 2011 Olin Scholarship by 50% due to the economic downturn-- so now it is an $80K scholarship over 4 yrs.

On the contrary–Olin’s last class admitted was the largest ever, with an extremely strong profile, just like before. Additionally, there are 20 more students who deferred until next year’s class, which will make it super selective for the remaining spots. I guess all the potential Oliners are out doing impressive things!
