Wellesley BroSpotter

Has anyone else seen this blog? It's ridiculously silly. I can understand the sentiment because I too go to a women's college (though, one with more guys). I just can't believe someone is putting this on the internet...

CC has a rule about posting to private blogs, but it can be found as BroSpotter dot Blogspot.

Haha I think it’s hilarious. The captions are funny, and the whole concept is amusing - pointing out “bros” who we see around campus. Don’t take it too seriously

I’m curious how many Wellesley students actually care about this blog or if word of their stardom ever gets back to the bros in the photos. I’m suspecting few and never, and in that case it’s harmless. I also wonder if the author will explode if a male takes one of her classes. Probably not. Hunting for boys at Wellesley is something you do while a prospie to reassure yourself and your family that you are not attending a nunnery. After that, yawn…

Funny story- my roommate had been dating a crossed-registered Olin student for a few months when my other roommate, a sci lib employee, happened upon an “ZOMG Boy in the Sci-Lib thread” on the employee FirstClass conference. The thread was hysterical with several posters figuring trying to figure out what class he was taking or whether he was single (she never threw him back in the dating pool- they married). Sci-lib roommate read the thread out loud to Olin student, and provided him with a printout that he put on his wall.

^ That’s hilarious!

I love that the picture of a guy reading has the most “hot” ratings.

I’m not taking it too seriously, I think it’s funny, which is why I bothered posting it. I just also can’t imagine expending the energy to do it myself.

I find it sad…they’re just guys on campus. Why is it necessary to take terrible quality pictures from cell phones and post them on the internet? At least the terrible quality helps obscure facial features, though.

But most of the girls here I’ve talked to are pretty apathetic about it, it’s just amusing that somebody would start a blog like that in the first place.
