I've recently been admitted to both Wellesley and Williams and am trying to weigh out the pros and cons of each. I like how Wellesley is located right outside of Boston, and absolutely love the beautiful campus, but I'm wondering if the programs at Williams are still stronger than these positives about Wellesley. Any input would be much appreciated! Thanks!

It would really depend on the specific program (math, chemistry, economics, english, astronomy, french, poli sci), and what your interested in academically, and then whether Wellesley students/applicants who are familiar with both places and subjects could give you input.

My D is in the same situation (and was also accepted at Davidson). For us, the decision will also hinge on financial aid. She’s not sure what she will major in (her interests are quite diverse). I think that unless there is a specific major you know you are interested in and can see a real difference, you really can’t go wrong with either school.

What WendyMouse said.
I would also keep the location in mind. I’ve discovered in my time here at Wellesley that I really need a city to keep me sane. Williams is very very secluded.

Totally agree with verbivorous. Boston is an amazing place to go to college in. You meet many different people from a ton of schools. Williams is off by itself in a very scenic area. It’s not my cup of tea, though it might be yours.
