Read a huge book!

so all my application materials were received except the midyear report, but of course I can’t send that yet… so does that just stay with the red x and “awaiting”?

Yeah, that’s what’s happening with me. I wouldn’t worry about it. (My second teacher rec wasn’t sent in until about two hours ago, so I’ve been checking WesCheck somewhat obsessively as of late.)

The bittersweet anticipation begins :s

Is anyone here leaning towards the sciences?

I put neuroscience as my second choice of interest, if that counts. For anyone that did art supplements, is there anyway to see that AdCom received the portfolio? Or are we just hoping they did?

I emailed them to double check and they had received and matched my slide room stuff. I would trust that it’s there or email them, if you’re anxious.

good idea

When you asked how to make sure our supplement was sent, I double checked my slideroom account to make sure they got my stuff, and it turns out I hadn’t paid the fee yet so it never sent!!! Even though ED was due two days ago, can they still receive my supplement???

Jeez I have no idea, did you email AdCom? Hopefully they can still consider it

I ended up calling and they said it was all good. phew :)

does anybody know if the acceptance rate for EDI is different than for ED II?

Do you know what date we are notified on? I found this link on the website that said the 12th http://www.wesleyan.edu/admission/applying/requirements.html but also found this one, which said we will be notified by the 15th-http://www.wesleyan.edu/admission/applying/admission_types/early_decision_students.html
Wishing everyone else luck in their decisions!

With that second one it says by Dec. 15th which I think means that we’ll find out on that day or earlier. What I’m guessing is that decisions will start to be sent out on the 12th, and if you don’t receive it exactly on the 12th, you’ll definitely hear before the end of the day on the 15th. But that’s just my two cents on it

My daughter has applied ED1 to Wes. Does anyone know what happens if you get deferred to ED2 or Reg Decision? Are you released from the binding agreement if you are deferred to ED2? How does all this work?

ED2 is still a binding decision, but I think if one is deferred to the regular pool and admitted there, the decision is no longer binding

If deferred from ED1 you go to the RD pool (not to the ED2 pool) and you no longer have a binding contract if admitted RD.

I spoke to one of the Deans of admission, she said that it was very likely we would be notified on the 12th

Representing England, applying ED1

Im on the fence between Film and Environmental science or applied chemistry

Can’t believe we’ll be finding out so soon. As for majors, I have pretty much no idea what I’ll end up doing, although the College of Letters sounds incredible.
