Billy from China writing here! I've recently been accepted as a member of Class of 2014. Woo-hoo! Though there are some other options, Wesleyan is truly an attractive choice for me. Yet being in China, Wes is still a little bit mysterious...as most liberal arts colleges have the same problem.

I am the type who loves everthing, molecule chemistry, Middle East History, Astronomy, John Hobbes Philosophy... It is kind of hard to choose my potential major, even though I know I could make the decision till sophomore. Still really anxious. I am especially interested in political science, history, applied maths, economics and astronomy. I know astronomy is excellent. But what about others? Liberal/ fine arts in Wes is outstandingly strong, but what about others? I am a little bit avarice to know about the whole spectrum of Wes academics :).

One more thing is about the career and graduate education prospect. I noticed that there are some programs for science such as 3+2 or else, but does Wesleyan have some special program for, such as, political science and history (not including COL or CSS). And how's COL and CSS and their prospect?

Some say liberal arts college education is not as practical as those of university's since it stresses solidly on learning, more suitable for preparing graduate education. How true is that then? Let's say two students graduated from Cornell and Bowdoin majoring in accounting (Or whatever), when applying for jobs, do employers tend to think the the Brown one would be more skillful in practical work?

Oh, more more thing--- how is the gym and swimming pool in Wes? Is that a relatively small one or so?

LoL~Already too much words here... 1:50 a.m. in China, Gonna go to bed! After all UP to be accepted!
