Wesleyan or Brown for ED?Advice please?

I suppose I shall study Political Science or history, and I now have a difficult decision about ED selection this october, as shown in the title.
Is Wesleyan easier to get into? I'm a bit afraid that my scores would be no match for other Brown applicants...
I would also appreciate advice on whether I should even try on these two colleges...
Thank you!

I think you’d make a pretty competitive candidate for Wesleyan. Gender parity and geographic diversity could give you an even bigger edge. Brown would beat you up and steal your lunch money, especially if you are from the east coast - just joking - in a way. ;)

hahah, thanks for ur humor, so by “steal your lunch money” you mean that Brown may just take the application fees and ignore me?

^^Well, let me walk that back a little. You’re obviously in the ballpark for both schools. The problem is that everyone with an 800 on their SATs applies to Brown and I’m not sure applying ED would make that big a difference. At Wesleyan, your scores would definitely be a hook, particularly since two of your SATII scores are in STEM subjects from which it draws a lot of research.

ED is only appropriate if a school is your clear first choice, and you will not need to compare financial aid offers. Since you are undecided, ED does not appear appropriate for you.

Okay, thanks a lot for the explanation, johnwesley and ucbalumnus, now I understand what you said.
