West Point vs Annapolis

I was also puzzled by Superdoc’s somewhat crass statement about former President Carter. While I didn’t necessarily agree with the way he ran his Presidency, or some of the political positions he has taken since he left office, I think it is pretty hard to condemn a man that has spent his retirement not in luxury on a golf course and earning huge amounts of money on the speaking tour, but trying to improve the lives of less fortunate Americans through Habitat for Humanity. I don’t remember any other former President being involved with the community good after he left the White House.

I looked at Superdoc’s earlier posts and I believe he will begin attending the Naval Academy this summer. Perhaps he will learn some manners and judgment over the summer.

I too was extremely offended by the slanderous remark about President Carter made by the Navy candidate, Superdoc. Maybe he doesn’t know that President Carter is a great statesman, humanitarian, and a recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.

I reported the problem post to the administrators to no avail. Thank you path1 and FWDAD for responding to the offensive comment.

First, the best looking uniform in all of the service is the Marine Dress uniform, there is only one SA that can get you that uniform. The Air Force dress uniform looks like Grayhound bus drivers, Army uniforms look like billboards and the Navy dress uniform looks like Good Humor Ice Cream drivers.

My son is now officially being recruited by Navy, and Army for football and Air force for Wrestling and Lacrosse. He has received letters from each of the respective Head Coaches at the academies. I am and always will be a Marine. I love the Corps above almost all else, but, saying that I have done a lot of research and would love to see him go to Air Force. His order of preference is Navy, Air Force then Army. He wants to be a Marine fighter pilot, nothing would make me prouder, but, there is something about the Air Force Academy that stands out to me.

Saying all that, they are all great institutions, and if he chooses to attend one then I believe he can’t go wrong.

Good luck to all, and Semper Fi.
