@Lastcall: Might as well take the test if I can get high scores on it At least it wouldn’t hurt. And thanks, I’m leaning more to CAS atm though.

@upennhopeful: Hahaha thanks man. It’s more eclectic that I’d hoped but meh.

@koharvard: Thanks for the chance man Hopefully we can meet in one of the conferences.

@Iheartpw: It’s pretty strange that they won’t provide the percentages :l Do they at least provide you with a GPA? Don’t be mistaken though; universities do look at predicted scores. But I think they recognize that predicted marks are essentially subjective. And that’s partially the reason why they view a standardized test (SAT) and GPA with more weight. So if you are getting a 45 in IB and got a 2000 on SAT or something low, that wouldn’t bode so well with the adcoms.
Do you mind if I ask how you are doing in IB?
Oh and I might be doing Silver after I graduate.

@IBprocrastinate:
nah we dont have rank nor GPA lol… I dont know how the admission officers will judge my application but fingers crossed! I’m quite worried about my predicted marks… but oh well, I’d just hope for the best!
Yeah… i really dont know then. but 45/45 with a 2000 is a bit… dramatic haha
Well, im suffering through my IB life, IOC coming up this Friday. In terms of how im doing, im like on a 38/42, probably predicted as a 39/42. I’m really concerned about my predicted bonus points…
Thank you thank you thank you! btw if you get accepted to UPenn RD, would you go?

I like what you have to offer! Just write compelling essays, and you’ll have a strong case for Penn to accept you…but you know how it works for a school like this. CAS’s acceptance rate it marginally larger than Wharton’s, and it is extremely difficult to transfer into Wharton from CAS due to the lack of open spots. Either way, getting into Penn in general is tough and quite an accomplishment.

@Iheartpw: I think this is the first time I heard of a school that sends only predicted scores o.o Usually it’s the other way around. Yeah, but wow 39/42 is amazing. I think I’m aiming for 39/45 for RD and hopefully I can update the marks with 41 later. Oh, and right now, Brown (ED) is my first choice. But if I get rejected, UPenn is definitely my second choice, so I would be showering myself with dom perignon if I get accepted to Upenn haha. Are you applying to U.K. or anywhere else btw?

@pochaco: Thanks! Hopefully my essays can save me from my rather mediocre ib marks.

@IBprocrastinate:
Well I really dont know how the admission processes go in terms of different transcripts lol.
Haha thank you!
I think you should come to Penn =) but just dont take my spot if im deferred… xD
Yep, i applied to UK under the oct 15th deadline… its so stupid, i shouldnt have applied to UCL for economics because they only look at your predicted apparently, and i dont think i was predicted a 7 in math HL, so no chances in getting in >< i should have applied for like economics with east european history or something.
I’m also applying to HKU and HKUST. If none of those universities (US, UK, HK) turn out to be ideal, then im applying to Aussie lol, just NOT STAYING IN NZ!
wbu?

@Iheartpw:
Haha. I think I should come to UPenn too. They have such a great undergraduate. Did you apply CAS btw?
Yeah, I wanted to apply to UK too, but the prospect of BMAT and my low predicted was just too much for me to even consider haha. UCL is an amazing college but how come you didn’t apply to Oxbridge? Don’t they have the 39 minimum criteria?

I’m applying to few in Canada like McGill, and bunch in U.S. Ivies. Hopefully we get accepted to all of them :D

@IBprocrastinate:
I talked about you with one of my friends at school today, he’s a CC audience (one who doesnt post ==) and surprisingly enough he said he recognizes you from my description hahaha.
Yeah im applying to CAS… im really uncertain about my chances… arggh and this is really getting me crazy, all this tension…unbearable!
But with your SAT scores and EC’s and essays, wont you be accepted by Brown anyways?
Yeah I’d love to be accepted by UCL, but I missed my chances, should have looked at the entrance criteria more in detail and applied for another major that didnt require like a math HL 7, seriously I hate this lack of flexibility about the British system.
Yep applied to Cambridge, but I’m not going for an interview, as that means I’d have to travel to England… but I’m doing a quick test next Monday.
