You can do clubs like DECA or FBLA. If you don’t have either of those at your school, you can found a chapter by yourself, which would be even more impressive.

I asked my kids ask and answer this question…What is business?

Have a passion for something, anything.

be a leader. create something new. innovation, passion and hard-work in ANY field, ranging from sports to finance. An internship at GS/ a big name comapany is great but if you don’t actually do anything and just get water for people, it really doesn’t matter. Find something you like and excel in it.

Do something that demonstrates your passion for business. To be honest, I find a lot of things or ECs in high school are extremely interdependent. If you are able to show your strength within that certain category, and it also provides you the opportunity to exemplify your passion, BAM, that’d be the perfect chance for you to SHINE! I heard entrepreneurship would be a great experience on your application. Maybe give it a try! Good luck!

When u say entrepreneurship do youmean starting a business? And yeah I’m trying to get an intership… but I want to do something unique from that insternship like start an organization but idk how to… And idk what to start it was just an idea… Any ideas?

Entrepreneurship is hard. Only about 10% of Americans designate themselves in the Census as entrepreneurs.

Part of the reason is because there is no clear HOW TO when it comes to this. How to create a software program and turn it into a billion dollar company isn’t in any textbook and there are few that could teach it.

The key to entrepreneurship is starting. Be passionate and go forward and the HOW TO will work itself out.

For Wharton you don’t need to show business interest, the only skill you really need to demonstrate is high competency in math (through SAT I/II, Calc BC/Stat). For the rest just do what you would do to get in to a normal non-business school and that should be enough. No need to particularly demonstrate entrepreneurship or business inclination (although it always helps) because they understand its not that easy to.
