Hi,
I'm currently going to an American International School at a foreign country and this year, I'm applying to the top schools in the US including all the Ivy Leagues.
In 10th grade, I've done AP Spanish Language and I got 4. Not very satisfied but it was okay.
Then, when I entered 11th grade, I had four AP classes (which I wanted to reduce but my schedule didn't work out so I couldn't drop any) - AP Calculus BC, Spanish Lit, English Lang, and US History. I got A's in all those classes for both semesters but on the test, I did really badly and failed one of them. I got one 4, two 3s, and one 2.
It was super shocking...
Anyways, I really don't understand how I could have gotten a 2 because that subject was the one I was quite confident in.
Also, I got recommended from the teachers for this year's AP courses as well and I'm currently taking AP Euro, English lit, Stats, and Physics.
Now, obviously I'm not sending in the 2 but i feel like if I don't send in all of them, maybe that would be better?

Or should I still send the 3s? I feel like it is going to hurt me a lot though.
Please tell me how much the AP scores would matter in my case
I really need your helppppp!!1
Thank you :)

You usually don’t have to send AP scores in during admission process, only after acceptance if you want to try to get credit/higher placement. The main point during application process is that you’ve taken rigorous coursework and have good grades in those classes.

At top schools, your probably won’t get credit unless it’s a 4 or 5 but you need to check each schools websites to see. But you don’t need to worry about that until accepted.

so would it be okay if I don’t report all of them?
they wouldn’t think that I didn’t take the test at all?
yea, top schools only accept 4s and 5s and they have like a chart for it
anyways thank you!! :)

I would check with admissions of the schools. Just ask if AP scores need to be included in application, don’t have to go into why. I guess the only question is if scores from past years are on your HS transcript, in which case they’re going to at least see those. Check with school counselor.

It really won’t hurt you at all - colleges are mainly concerned with your AP scores once you have been admitted and want to use them to receive credit for courses.
