No job
Normal unknown suburban High School(will college consider the average SAT score for the school is 990?)

Goal: Pre-Med major

what are my chances at..

Duke
John Hopkins
Yale
Princeton
Harvard

I have a tremendous passion and compassion for people and also the promotion of education to all which is essential in the medical field over simply scores and numbers. People, and books and scores are different things (obviously). Will my mass community service and compassionate tutoring for kids demonstrate my passion to help others? Will it make me SATND OUT in the app process for Yale , harvard, princeton, duke??

You have done very well in school, as demonstrated by your GPA, but its going to hurt you that your SAT scores are low-ish (for harvard's avg anyway). Im concerned though about the 3s you have gotten and are predicting for your APs--they make me wonder about the difficulty level of the courses and the grades gotten in those.
Community service and passion are a good thing, but are by no means stand-out material. They are definately good though. Btw, there is no pre-med major at harvard.
Work hard and good things will come to you.

I would recommend taking the ACT. My highest score on the SAT was a 1320. But, my highest score on the ACT was a 34 (Supposedly the equivalent of a 1520 on the SAT). I did practice a lot for the ACT, but I think it was also just easier for me than the SAT.

But for harvard yale duke or princeton if you take the ACT do you need three SATII tests??

From Harvard's website: "As always, students must also submit three SAT II exams of their choosing."

Application instructions for Yale: "If you will not be taking the College Board SAT I and SAT II Subject Tests, you may substitute the examination administered by the American College Testing (ACT) Assessment Program (Code No. 0618)."
