What all should I give someone writing a letter of recommendation?

I am in the middle of compiling packets to give to people when I ask them to write my letters of recommendation.

For my English teacher, who I had sophomore year, I am including a resume, an explanation of all of my extra-curricular activities, a copy of an essay from the year I had her, a copy of an essay from junior year, a stamped and addressed envelope to the school for which she is recommending me, and a copy of the teacher evaluation sheet.

Should I include anything else to make her job easier?

Also, should the envelope I am giving the teacher to send everything in be a standard envelope or a business/document (manila) envelope?

Bump!
Thanks in advance.

i’m thinking about doing this too. bump! i’d like to know more.

That sounds like more than enough to me, but the best way to find out is to ask the teacher. Some teachers have different preferences.

^Agreed. Ask beforehand before you pile papers onto their desks!

My junior year english teacher wants all the necessary documents (envelopes, stamped and addressed, etc.) as well as completion of a worksheet that reminds her what I wrote in class (memoir, arugment essay, etc.) and a resume. My calculus teacher, on the other hand, doesn’t want anything other than those necessary documents.
