I didn’t do so well on my SAT with a superscore of 1950. I’m contemplating taking it again on November 4th, but Georgetown likely won’t see the new score. I have a 3.9 unweighted GPA, and a 4.865 weighted GPA. I got a 5 in ap psych, 4 in ap english 11, a 4 in ap calc ab, and a 3 in ap bio. I’m currently taking ap chem, ap english 12, ap calc bc, and ap government. I have all A’s with only a few A-'s on my transcript, and I’m Pakistani. I’m also the president of NHS, secretary of Key Club, am in mathletes, student council, county advisory council, and i did an internship at the university of delaware last summer for their ongoing genetics project, where i worked alongside grad students, undergrad students, professors, and peers. I really want to go their bc of their political sciences programs (I’m really into politics).
Oh am I’m ranked 2/300ish
Georgetown is a school where applying EA doesn’t help your chances, so for a better shot, take the SAT again and apply RD
@wisteria100 That is a bit misleading. That statistic is not technically true. You have to dig deeper. The reason the RD acceptance rate is higher than the EA acceptance rate is because Georgetown does not deny anyone EA. You are either accepted or deferred. That is why the RD average is higher. In the end though, I agree that you should retake the SAT and try again. You don’t present a strong enough application to me in your other areas to warrant an admission (especially to political science). If you could improve to a 2100, I would say you have a good shot, but I don’t think you will get in now.
