What are my chances at Notre Dame?

I applied RD to the Mendoza College of Business at Notre Dame. ND is my dream school, so I was hoping I could get a sense for how an admissions officer will view my application. Although I would love to hear good news, I would appreciate honesty more than anything in your responses.

Academics:
Weighted GPA (only GPA my school sends to colleges): 4.0/4.0
SAT: Will not submit
ACT: 32 one sitting (33 English, 28 Math, 33 Reading, 33 Science), 33 superstore (33 English, 34 Math, 33 Reading, 33 Science)
Subject SAT: 700 Biology (Ecological)
AP Test Scores (if this helps?): English Language (4), AP US History (4)

Transfered to a more rigorous private school halfway through high school

Varsity Lacrosse for 4 years
Varsity Wrestling for 2 years
Facilitator for diversity club (educate and facilitate conversations in the community about important social issues)
Finance intern at a local research firm over summers and school vacations.

Recommendations:
All good - both of my teachers that wrote one have a good understanding of who I am. One teacher I have had for two years and the other was my teacher and soccer coach.
My counselor rec was better than most I’d say. I made an emphasis to build a relationship with her.
Also getting an additional letter from the director of Best Buddies from my state

Essays:
Why Notre Dame: I really liked this one. Talked about how the tradition at Notre Dame forms a strong community while tying it into my own life.
Field Trip: I enjoyed writing this one. Wrote about Thoreau, his emphasis on a connection with nature, and how my trip would help re-connect students with nature.
Conversation: Wrote about how I met with someone who was a great leader. Explained how I applied some advice that I received from the meeting.

Personal:
Gender: Male
Race: White
Income Bracket: No clue
State: New York

You seem like a pretty strong student. I’m fairly sure ND doesn’t superscore ACT, but your score is fine. Also, you said your soccer team was top 5 in the country: have you talked to the varsity coach at Notre Dame? Best of luck!

IliketoFence thank you for your reply! I have not talked to the coach at ND - I’d say I’m a good high school soccer player but Notre Dame, one of the most elite Division 1 soccer programs, is out of the question for a player of my skill level.

fair enough. It was worth a shot. also, is the 4.0/4.0 straight A’s? If you haven’t checked it yet, Naviance is a great resource to check if your school uses it to see how you compare against other students from your school who have applied to Notre Dame (or any school).

It is a weighted GPA. I had some really poor grades my sophomore year that brought my cumulative GPA down a lot, but I have earned nearly all A’s since which has helped raise it a bit. I have checked Naviance and there doesn’t seem to be a magic number. Thank you so much!

Since this is the first year that you have to declare Mendoza on your application, it is hard to tell how this year’s Mendoza acceptance rate will look. However, you seem like a good applicant. I think you have a good shot, but its not guaranteed. In particular, your essays sound really good; ND loves community and philosophy. I am currently a sophomore studying finance at Mendoza, and the business school is great. I hope you get accepted! I wish you the best of luck!

@swimmergirl1012‌ thank you for your input! Great to hear from a Notre Dame student =) I’m glad to hear that you are liking Mendoza so far! I’ve only heard great things about it!

Bump!
