are you didn’t type your gpa or class rank incorrectly? Top 10 percent while having a 2.94 gpa is hard to believe, but if your school is very rigorous or the students slack off a lot, then I could kinda see it. Your GPA is the most important factor. The fact that you rank within the top 10 percent of your class is a very good thing, and temple will scrutinize that fact and look at your high school, how rigorous it is, etc. You’re better off if your high school is extremely rigorous and there is a lot of grade deflation, therefore explaining your GPA. However, if you just have students in your class that don’t try, then that won’t help your case. Temple will also, most likely in this case, ask your guidance counselor for the highest GPA in the class. If it’s a 4.0 or something like that, then you’re basically screwed. I would say look at some safety schools just to be safe, because your GPA may be somewhat overlooked because it has to be looked at within the context of your school. However, a 2.94 is extremely low. Good luck :)
