Im currently a junior, and im going to end up with a 3.0 GPA at the end of junior year. I got a 2000 on my SAT. Im white, and i work on the school newspaper, and have done cross country, indoor and outdoor track every year. Anyone know my chances at Tulane and possibly American University or Villanova?

No, and no one does. That’s not nearly enough information. But you can see for yourself that the 3.0 GPA (I assume that is unweighted) is well below the average for Tulane, while the 2000 SAT is around the average. At first blush, those numbers indicate you are underperforming in the classroom, which is a potential red flag. But again, there is no context for that number, and there is more to admission than a couple of stats.

Even though we don’t know for sure…

Tulane: Reach
Villanova: Reach (but somewhat lower than Tulane)
American: High match
