What are my chances? (AU, NYU, BU)

Hi. Before you review my stats, please keep in mind that while I am in the 100K+ income bracket, I cannot afford to spend a quarter of a million dollars on my education; I am interested in scholarships/financial aid. If there are any other notable schools that would offer me generous scholarships, please let me know. Thank you.

UW GPA: ~3.66/4.00
W GPA: N/A
SAT I: 1210/1600 (1830/2400) - 600CR, 610M, 620W [Retaking in October, November]
SAT II: [Taking US History and World History in December]
Class Rank: Comfortably in the top 10%
AP Classes: World History, US History, Physics B, Chemistry, Statistics, US Government and Politics, English

Job/Work Experience: Internship with an Engineering Firm working on the Second Avenue Subway in NYC, Summer 2013 and Summer 2014, maybe Summer 2015.
ECs: President of the Foreign Language Honor Society (2013-2015), Vice President of my school's community service club (2013-2014 [President: 2014-2015]), President of the Foreign Language Club (2013-?), Communications Director of the NHS (2014-2015), prospective President of the Social Studies Honor Society (2014-2015), blood drive organizer (2013-2015), creator and editor for Foreign Language Newsletter, prospective chief yearbook designer.
Community Service: Definitely exceeding 150 hours.
Teacher Recommendations: [anticipating up to six strong recommendations]

State: NY
School type: Noncompetitive public
Ethnicity: European (Italian, Polish)
Gender: XY
Income Bracket: 100K+
Hooks: Perhaps first generation to pursue a Bachelors degree, but not confirmed.

My first choice school is American University, second New York University, third Boston University. I will be applying to up to 10 schools, four of which are safety/match schools. However, I am completely obsessed with American University.

P.S. I have only finished my Junior year of high school, so much of this is well-informed speculation and/or my own calculations.

I would say all three schools are high match to low reach possibly :)

Speaking in terms of scholarships, NYU is extremely hard to get scholarships for and being in that income bracket and having only a 3.66 GPA, I just cannot see you getting a very generous or even noticeably decent scholarship.

Your GPA is kinda low. If your GPA rose through the years then it will look better. You really need to get your SAT up to 2000+ to be really competitive. Also for NYU if apply to any of their colleges except Stern College your chances increase greatly.
Financially to get scholarships it’s necessary for you to be in the top 10-20% of SAT scores due to the fact that your GPA is lower.
Good luck

@sd9754‌ Thank you. The 3.66 is crude speculations. My college guidance counselor has lips-sealed about my GPA. If my math is correct, it’s around a 3.66, however, a student from my school indubitably had a lower GPA by percentage but my school reported him to have a 3.7 GPA (unweighted). This doesn’t make much sense to me but hopefully it aids my GPA.

Another question–does the first semester of my senior year count toward my GPA?

Your first semester grades to factor into your GPA if you apply RD. If you are looking for good FA besides admission, you may want to consider other schools than BU and BU as they are not known for their hefty financial aid. Use the net price calculator on their websites to see what you’d be expected to pay. AU does have some merit aid though, so if you qualify that could be a plus.
