yea, im going to the interview on monday :)
on a side note, thanks for the encouragement/good comments
ohh yea, i just had my interview today, it went awsome :)

well i got my stats today
i have a 3.12 gpa and a class rank of 76 (of ~250)
(this is all just freshman - junior, none of senior)
This is lower than i had predicted, so what do you think are my chances now?
but add to that, i just had a very good interview

and one more addition, i exspect my science/math teacher recommendation (from the computer science teacher) to be quite good
and i exspect my guidance recommendation to probably be rather plain and generic

by the way, how important is the essay to wpi?

Sorry for posting....again.....but I'm just a little worried after I read WPI's information facts sheet and it said average gpa: 3.7, average class rank: top 11%, 50%tile sat 1770-2060
Although I have always known this, just having it in print, in front of me, just...kills my confidence. Although my SAT's are at the top of the 50%tile spectrum, my gpa and class rank don't even come close to their average. Thanks for any response.

Don't be discouraged. The message we got from WPI at their local presentation was, if you want to come here and you're in the ballpark, we'll find a way. Your SAT IIs are way over what they require, your SATs are at the top of their 50 percent range. What is holding your GPA down? Math and science or English and history? They're much more interested in math and science. All you can do is apply and really convey your enthusiasm for the school in your essays. Apply ED if you think you're a borderline candidate.

my gpa is held down by Spanish :(
(my final year grades are as so: D F C and hopefully C this year)
stupid class, screwed me over so badly...
all my other classes are B's or higher though, cept like 1 C in english...
mainly A's and a few B's in math/science
ended my computer science AP course with a 100 average and a 5 on the exam :-P
(wow, im so not well-balanced...)
(and yes, i am applying EA, they dont have ed)

I just came back from the open house today, from what i see, i love the campus (though it might be a litttle too small) and the dorms are...bearable....
but overall, i like it
