Hi guys,
I’m new here. I was just wondering if anyone could give me an indication to my chances at National University of Singapore. I plan to study Business Admin, not sure with or without accountancy yet. I would be considered international, and my stats are:
IGSCE: 7 A*, 1 A, 1 AS a
IB: 41/45 (remarking results not yet available)
SAT: 2290 in one sitting (M 800, CR 730, W 760)
SAT II: M lvl 2 790, Chem 800, Bio E 770
Aside from these, I am valedictorian of my school, which has a class size of about 260 (although I have heard NUS doesn’t really care about school level achievements). I was also wondering if I should apply through Discretionary Admissions: I’m in my school varsity tennis team and we’ve represented New Zealand, reaching top 4 in international tournaments. I’ve also won awards such as National Social Innovation Business Comp and NZ Young Environmental Enterprise of the Year etc. Are these worthy to put down for DA?
And sorry one last thing, does applying for financial aid affect my chances? I know NUS has quite an elaborate financial aid scheme, but I haven’t heard if its need-blind or need-aware for internationals…Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance
