hi there! may i ask what your major is in LSP? I think you’d be a pretty good candidate for LSP - but NYU is very holistic so it’s hard to determine your chances as I think a lot of your app weighs on your essays.

@pizzaandpeonies Well, my common app essay was about my diagnosis with a rare liver disease, and how it impacted me and transformed me. I talked about the timeline of how I was impacted in my schoolwork, and how I have turned that diagnosis from a negative to a positive. I must say, I think that was a 10/10… My teacher recs were from my history teacher last year, who I have again this year, 9/10, and my business teacher from last year, 9/10. My guidance counselor’s essay about me was very good, 10/10, as I have read it myself.

Oh and my NYU essay was all about the program and how I am a great candidate for it.

what is your major?

@pizzaandpeonies There is no major in the LSP Core program… It is a 2 year program where you complete your gen-eds, and explore major options for the next two years.

i knew how LSP works but i didn’t know you never declared a major there. that’s interesting. all in all though, i think your stats seem on par with LSP. good luck!
