<p>They Essays Are Hard Though...</p>
<p>If you think the essays to get in are hard you may want to take a writing course NOW. What does your overall GPA look like? Assuming since you’re NHS, it’s at least acceptable. I’d say you’d have made the cut when I was there, but the cut is more intense now than it was in 1999. If you do get in, remember that maintaining your standing requires honors (3.3 or better) grades while taking honors classes. Seriously, every essay in English 030 is harder than the application, and that’s just your freshman English class. Your other honors courses are also writing-intensive, and the honors thesis will keep you up at night for almost a year. Overall, I think you’ll get in, but I wonder if it’s a good fit for you. Getting in and then getting kicked out might be worse than being a regular happy PSU student.</p>
