2ns GRE Test - Soon (hopefully a bit better)

My List so far:
Southwestern Medical Center
Emory university
Baylor School of Medicine
Washington University in St. Louis
University of Minnesota

I need some safety school as well. Please advise me with more schools

Is it fair to assume you aren’t domestic?

First of all you need to decide on a specific field of study. You get admitted to a specific program- biological sciences is too broad for the graduate level. Look at the GRE scores expected by the programs you are interested in. Are you at all competitive? If not, retake the GRE. Also look at requirements for a subject GRE and meet them.

You need to discuss your future plans with your advisor and any other professor mentors (including those who sponsored yor research) you have. These are the people who know you and the programs for which they would be willing to write good letters of recommendation for you. Your professors can give you schools to apply to that you have a chance of being accepted at.

@belevitt - yes I am international but I finished my Undergrad in US. Curosity - how and why did you assume that - my essay and verbal scores, depression or something else?

@wis75 - I am particularly interested in Immunology, Cancer Biology or Pharmaceutical Sciences (one of them). Since all my research experience has been in Immunology - I am more inclined towards it. I am really in edge of giving the GRE subjects because of time and also I am retaking GRE general again. My supervisor and mentors/advisor pretty much have an idea of what I want to do and are willing to write good LORs. Thank you suggesting about talking particular schools with my professors - I will do that.

Will it be any better if I include in SOP why I was so miserable in early college years. I had some financial difficulties and depression and had to transfer 3 different schools. I spent 2-3 years recovering from my depression and finally I graduated with most of my higher level classes in major with A’s and B’s.

You apply to specific programs and therefore need to choose the field to apply to at each school. One application won’t go to different departments.

yes you are right. So, I will be in most schools applying for Immunology Program unless they have secondary option.

yes include that in your essay…good luck!
