I'm a junior who just transferred to a new high school this year. I have a 3.9 unweighted GPA, 31 ACT, have taken mostly honors classes throughout high school. Heavily involved in extracurriculars; multiple clubs, 2 sport athlete, etc. Also heavily into volunteering, started my own fundraiser last year as well as other various service projects. What are my chances at SMU and WFU based on these stats?

I think you have an excellent shot at getting into SMU with the stats you have posted, and I would encourage you to apply for the Hunt Scholarship. My son is a Hunt Scholar and got into Wake Forest, SMU, University of Richmond and 10 other universities. Your chances of getting into Wake Forest depend on your essays and interview. Wake Forest’s supplement requires 7 additional short answer essays–don’t blow them off. Also, my son said the interview was fairly in depth. They like to probe to determine if you are regurgitating information or really know what you are talking about. Best of luck to you. Both are excellent schools.

What about any of the other scholarships offered? I know there are many, but it’s hard to find what each one entails exactly (average ACT, how much money given, etc.)
