Hi y'all! I'm a 16 year old high school junior in California. I've really wanted to go to college down south, especially USC, but my chances of getting into there are slim to none at this point. Or rather, I feel i've destroyed my college chances entirely. I'be had A's and B's in all my classes, except for math in which I've been a straight C student. However, this year I recently transferred from my charter school to a normal (and quite large) public school. I am taking 3 APs, and honestly have royally messed up my grades. (AP Lit-B; APUSH-B; Chem-A; AP Spanish-C). As for math, I am retaking algebra 2 as opposed to pre calc (which i was in for a good part of my first semester) due to the fact that my old highschool tried a new experimental math program which my class was essentially a guinea pig for, and it turned out to be an enormous failure, so my math skills are worse than they already were before (not my strongest subject). However, what's worse is that I failed Algebra 2 this first semester, when i previously "passed" it with a C- both semesters sophmore year. How bad is that?! I am ranked 335 out of 637 kids in my junior class. I'm involved in Latino Student Union, was on the varsity water polo team this year (we made it to the second round of the playoffs) and on the varsity softball team this last year and play on a competitive travel softball team.

I am just wondering what my chances are now of getting into college? Particularly UCB, UCI, USC, LMU, San Diego State, and UCSD. I am extremely worried....I have yet to take the SAT but plan on taking it 3 times, and the ACT as well. Please be honest!
