Hi, I was just wondering about my chances in getting into UT Austin. I have a pretty unique situation as I was in the hospital a lot of my sophomore and junior year of high school and missed 200+ hrs so my grades don’t really reflect my passion and effort. I want to major in biochemistry in the College of Natural Sciences.
Here are my stats:
- A total of 12 AP Classes (and the rest are honors, I took the hardest classes offered)
- UW GPA: 3.55
- W GPA: 3.95
- SAT: 1410
- My high school doesn’t rank but I believe I’m in the top 25% (I go to a huge school and one of the most competitive in my state and the nation)
- I have a strong letter of recommendation from my AP English teacher.
- I would like to believe that my essay was very well rounded and quite good
- I did competitive sports until I got sick, did a few clubs, and volunteered the most I could.
In my senior year, I am taking AP World History, AP European History, AP Biology, AP Calculus AB, Physics. and Honors Shakespeare.
I would really appreciate any help or advice I can get! I already have been accepted to A&M at college station and University of Arkansas but UT Austin is my main goal
