I'm a junior in high school and don't graduate until 2010, but I was just wondering my chances of getting into a UC school. I have a GPA of 4.3, take almost all AP classes, and have many extracurricular activities. The only problem is that I am not from California; I'm from Nevada. I've noticed that all the UC schools barely take out-of-state students which I have no idea why except USC which has such high standards and requires rigorous SAT scores I don't think I can get. If I can't get into a UC school, would anyone recommend me to an amazing college that I could go to most likely in the West or possibly Ivy League?

USC is not part of the UC system
Ivy Leagues are on the EAST coast. (Although Stanford is up to par with the Ivies)

Just apply, you'll never know what could happen.
I think you'll probably get into the 2nd tier UCs but it is a tossup for CAL & UCLA.

Post your stats/intended major so more people could comment.
