Hi, I live in Florida and I just got my psat score back I'm a junior in hs. I got a 172 which equivalates to me getting a 1720 on the SAT if I were to take it now. I strongly feel that I could raise my score to a 2100 or even higher. I plan on doing practice tests non stop as soon as I finish my midterms coming up next week. I will probably take my first sat and act in March or April. The main issue with college search is that I have a 3.5 gpa weighted, please help me find a school that I have a chance to get in to. I want to do international business as I have always been a businessman selling stuff since I was 9 and creating an online store at 12.i would like a university that is well known and that has a nice campus. Thanks in advanced.

Getting a 1720 on the PSAT is pretty good, and it’s even better if you can get a 2100. That’s basically where you want to be. However, a 3.5 weighted is a red flag for a lot of schools, if you don’t have a good reason for it. As for finding a school that you have a chance getting into, you also have to research a bit yourself, to find schools that you would want to go to, and are passionate about. Stuff like, how big the school is, if it looks nice, and if it offers international business. Getting into an Ivy with a really low GPA is really difficult, and it is likely they will not bother to read your application at all. Focus on bringing up your GPA, and ECs.

Rhubarber is totally correct. Although I cannot say since your uw gpa is unknown, if you up your gpa and scores, you will have a much better shot.

I don’t want to go Ivy League but at least a decent school my uw is like a 3.4

And also my extra curricular are football, lacrosse, and I started a club
