What are my chances of being accepted into Exeter or Andover?

I am currently considering whether or not to apply to Exeter and Andover. I am writing this so I can know everyone’s honest opinion on whether or not they think I would be accepted. I have my information below:

I am currently an 8th grader attending private school in South Florida thanks to financial aid. I moved here from my home country of Colombia as an infant. I am latina. My family consists of my mother, father, and my younger brother. If I were to attend Exeter or Andover, I would apply for financial aid and would board.

I fluently speak Spanish and English. I am also currently learning Portuguese on my own time using Doulingo (my school unfortunately does not offer any Portuguese classes).

I consider myself to be an excellent, hard working student. Aside from my normal grade-level classes, I also take Geometry Honors and Spanish 2 Honors (I took Algebra Honors and Spanish 1 Honors last year). Ever since the 4th grade, I have received at least a 95 in every class I have taken. My current unweigthed GPA is 4.0. (I currently do not haveany grades for my 8th grade year as I started 2 weeks ago)

Not only do I spend a lot of time focusing on my studies, I also enjoy doing community service. My total amount of hours from my 7th grade was 50 hours. I mostly complete my hours with the following things: school events, park maintenance, horse rescues, and organizing Christmas toy boxes for needy children in foreign countries.

As for Extracurriculars, I am involved in my school’s robotics team and math team. Although I have yet to attend a competition with my Robotics team, I was selected out of the 30 kids who tryed out for the robotics team to be a part of the 10 person team. My math team only attends 1 competition annually and we only have 2 practices : ( . Last year, I was Alice in my school’s production of Alice in Wonderland (I was automatically put in the production as my elective was performing arts, but I still had to try out). I am currently trying out for my school’s winter performance. I am also a part of the Yearbook Club at my school and an NJHS member.

One of my hobbies is reading. I adore reading. Ever since I was young, I loved the stories books told and have never lost that passion. Another hobby of mine is completitng jigsaw puzzles. This might sound strange, but the idea of spending a Friday of spending a Friday night completing a jigsaw puzzle while listening to a podcast sounds extremely relaxing.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you provide me with an honest answer that I can take into consideration when deciding whether or not to apply. Have a good rest of your day/night.

P.S. I still have not taken my SSAT. I plan on taking it in December.

Well if you continue on this path in high school I’m sure you will get in. You’re very well rounded and accomplished for such a young age. Enjoy middle school! Youre so early that you dont even need to worry right now~

oh wait youre talking about high school… yes! you should be fine
!

Why are you only interested in those two schools? How much homework have you done on boarding schools in general?

Those two schools are the schools that most interest me. I have researched many boarding schools (other than Exeter and Andover, St. Paul’s, Lawrenceville, and Concord also have my attention). The reason Exeter and Andover most have my attention is due to magnificent things I have read about these two schools. While I have read wonderful things about the other ones, these two schools definitely grab my attention the most. The student body, classes, and extracurriculars all sound so amazing from both of these schools. And at the end of the day, if I am going to apply and attend boarding school, i feel it should be at a place where I think I will prosper the most. My family are also hesitant about sending me off to boarding school as they know they will greatly miss me, so it will be a reliever for them knowing at least their daughter is somewhere she is happy getting the most out of her school.
