What are my chances of getting accepted by Johns Hopkins?

Good evening all,

As you can guess by the title of this thread, I'm considering applying to Johns Hopkins. But lately, I have been having doubts about applying. I know it never hurts to apply and the worst that can happen is I get rejected, which I have already accepted. However, I'd like to know my chances so I can decide whether I should spend the time and money (why are application fees so high?!) to apply.

GPA: 3.7
SAT combined: 2130
Extracurriculars:
Stage Crew
Leader (grade 12) Painter (grades 10, 11)
Model UN
Delegate (grades 10, 12)
Orchestra
Second chair oboe (grades 10,11,12)
Volunteering at Hospital (grades 11, 12)
Do Something Club
Secretary (grade 10)
Future Doctors of America
Member (grades 10,11)

Ethnicity: Asian (Chinese)
I speak english (obviously), chinese at home, and french

Your GPA is very disconcerting.

Low reach. There’s about a 35 or 40% chance you’ll get in. Better than the average. But not exceptionally high.

Yeah, GPA is a little low. And I understand that for some high schools, a 3.7 is amazing, but I think that the most important part of your Hopkins application is your transcript. After that, your EC’s are really weak. And the fact that you’re an Asian doesn’t help very much either. Sorry, I think your chances are low (20-30% range) But I would still apply. A 1/3 chance isn’t that bad man.

AsianandProud, can you chance me please? :)
