I don’t know what your chances are but do you really want to take 8 AP classes next year??? It is not necessary to take that many AP classes to demonstrate to Northeastern that you are capable of doing college work.

Another reason for taking AP is to earn credit. No matter how many AP classes you take, you can only earn 32SH of credit. Your current and planned AP course load totals 53SH (and that is with no credit earned from Sociology and US2).

Refer to this AP transfer credit chart:

Another reason for taking AP classes is to cover NU Path requirements, which will give you more flexibility in choosing classes in college. You can only use AP classes to meet 5 NU Path requirements. Your current (sophomore/junior) course load covers 4 NU Path requirements (assuming you get a 4 or 5 on the tests).

Refer to this chart for the NU Path requirements:

My recommendation to you is to take a max of 4 next year. I would recommend English, because no matter your major, everyone needs to be able to write and communicate effectively. Plus, it covers freshman writing. After that, choose one of the four courses you have planned that covers Analyzing Data. After that, choose a couple that you are truly interested in. Beyond that, take some fun classes. Try something new. Enjoy your senior year. High school is about so much more than academics.

PS - my son was accepted EA to Northeastern with only 6 AP classes. One sophomore year, two junior year, three senior year (although he has added one more this semester after he was accepted).
