What are my chances of getting in out of state?

Hi everyone, I'm an incoming senior at a public high school in the northwest Chicago suburbs. My stats are as follows:

Gpa: 4.0 unweighted
Class rank: Either top 1% to 2% (Last terms grades aren't in the ranking system yet)
Act: 31 composite (32 English, 36 Math, 25 Reading, 31 Science)
APs: AP Calculus AB (5) AP Computer Science A (4)
Senior Course load: Calculus 2 at local community college, AP Physics B, AP Psychology, Honors English, Honors Spanish 4, Accounting 1 (needed to fulfill graduation requirement)
Intended major: either mechanical or aerospace engineering
State of residence: Illinois
Extracurriculars: Varsity Baseball two years, President of 3 religious youth organizations, attended a selective leadership training course for athletics at my school, ran a community event website and Facebook page
Ethnicity: White

My real question is do you think that I have a good shot at being accepted to mechanical or aerospace engineering at Georgia Tech. I appreciate all responses. If you need more information to chance me please ask.

If you have any advice on how to make myself a better applicant please share that wisdom as well. Thanks!

Tech looks at GPA and rigor. Your GPA is great, but did you take advantage of a reasonable amount of ap classes? Avg for admitted students was 6-11, although they don’t penalize you if your school doesn’t offer them. Not sure where you are in the NW Chicago suburbs, but those are usually very good schools. Your ACT is good, I think they only look at math, English and writing, although I could be wrong. Your ec’s are good. Make sure to Write a good essay.
I think you have a decent shot. Make sure to apply EA. That is the most important advice you will get. Also, tech does not care about class rank or major ( i.e my daughter was accepted as an economics major and changed to biomedical engineering last week without any problems)

Thank you for all the good information. I will be sure to apply early admissions. I will graduate with 4 ap classes and one class at the local community college (Calculus 2.)

It is awesome that you are taking calc 2, but not sure they will accept it (check out the GT transfer pages) Those that took BC calc still have to take calc 2 at tech. How many ap classes were offered at your HS?

I would think about taking the SAT English and Chem subject tests because you are not taking an AP course in either of those subjects. If you can get the following scores you will get credit for the following classes.

Chemistry 680 CHEM 1211K
Chemistry 730 CHEM 1310
English 750 ENGL 1101

Plus since you are aren’t taking as many AP classes it might help your application.
