Hi I just applied to the college of Education and Human Development at the University of Minnesota yesterday with my first choice major as Sport Management. I got a 29 on my ACT (34 english, 32 reading, 24 math, 24 science) and have a 3.64 GPA weighted on a 4.0 scale. Seeing that the middle 50% of students accepted into the school of Education and Human Development got between a 23 and a 28 on the ACT, how worried should I be?
What is your uw GPA?
I’m not sure because my school only gives us our weighted GPAs
@kaplancrunch you can calculate it - rest assured that the colleges are doing so. A = 4.0, A- = 3.67, B+ = 3.33, B = 3.0, etc. Add it up weighting appropriately by the number of credits for each class (most will be 1 credit) and then divide by total number of credits.
