I'm a junior in high school, and my high school is in a place that is underrepresented and with a very low median income (my family has a low income as well). I'm a minority (Hispanic), and I have a 4.0 GPA. My PSAT scores have indicated that my SAT score would be around 2000, but I can bring it up.
I participate in NHS, BPA, Speech and debate, drama, golf, varsity cross country and track, and Girl Scouts. I also speak Spanish and have my own column in the paper, and I have had a lot of my work published. I also have a bunch of volunteer hours. Do I have a good chance of getting into a very competitive school?

The fact you’re a URM and live in an under-represented place will certainly help you, and of course your GPA is excellent. However, are you projecting your SAT score by doing your PSAT*10? That’s not an accurate way to determine that because the SAT is much more difficult than the PSAT. You’ll also need to take some SAT IIs and APs.

Your ECs look decent but there isn’t much of a focus. Colleges want to see more than just a laundry list. Additionally, you should focus on achieving beyond just participating - for example, seek to win awards in Speech and Debate, or golf, or any of your other activities.
