As i finished my junior year in high school I have a 4.0 GPA and do track and cross country as sports. My SATS are 1640. I was looking into 4 pharmacy schools

University of Rhode Island
Northeastern
University of Connecticut
Mass school of pharmacy and health science (the downside is its a 7 year program).

Can anybody tell me my possibilities of getting into any of these schools especially URI as it is my top choice as I also live in Rhode Island

Competition for PharmD programs are tough, so I would reccomend spending this summer preparing for the SAT retake. Also, it would look great to take (and do well on) the SAT Chemistry and/or Biology and/or Math 2C Subject Tests.

To really help your application, try to find an internship or volunteering oppotunity at a local pharmacy. I am sure if you spoke with the manager of a CVS or Walgreen’s they would be glad to allow you to “shadow” a pharmacist. That would look great on your application.

You should also try to ACT. From experience I can say that the SAT is focused more on what you already know, while the ACT tests your reasoning. The ACT has a science section, which should be easy if you are planning to go into a PharmD program.

Good luck!
