Hi I am a junior and I have a 3.8 GPA and I am also a four star in tennis recruiting. I play tournaments but do not play for a high school as I am home schooled. I plan on taking the SAT this month and I have been getting 2100 in my practice tests on average. So lets say I get 2000 in my SATs, what are my chances of getting into Air Force? I only wish to know the chances.

I don’t think getting into the Air Force depends on SAT scores and GPA’s…unless you mean the Air Force academy. You take the ASVAB to get into the Air Force

Hey, Yeah sorry I meant the Air Force academy

Well your GPA is a tiny bit below their average GPA so you should try to get that up a little. Their average GPA is around 1800 so I think that if you get your GPA up a little and get more than 1800 on your SAT you have a good chance-with your grades. But in keep on mind there are also other steps in their admissions like a physical assessment and an interview.

Did you show leadership in your ECs? Service academies look for those. Also, in your interview, they will ask for why you want to be an Air Force officer.

What’s your backup plan?
