Hi, thanks for taking the time to read this! So, I am just starting my second year of community college. First semester I was having a really hard time, I got diagnosed with major depressive disorder and I had trouble going to class. I recieved a D in chemistry and an F in calculus. In high school I had a 4.3, so this was my first semester of doing horrible. I started taking medication, and I finished my second semester with better grades, and took summer courses and got good grades. I now have a 3.7, but even though that’s the average, will they look at my first semester and automatically deny me? (I retook the classes). Thanks!
If you retook the classes and did well, I don’t believe they will automatically deny you. Don’t take my word at 100% though; I would suggest thoroughly researching online based on the schools you’re looking at.
