I have alot of leadership stuff

A 3.44 is 15th?? What school is this? (I’m from DE too)

I’d say it’s 50/50. One of my friends from last year got in with a 16-something on the SAT and a similar GPA. He was involved in school activities, but not tremendously.

The commitment to Delawareans that UD has makes it 50/50.

UD accepts 87% of Delawarians who apply to one of their programs (64% to the Newark 4 year Bachelors Degree program and an additional 23% to one of their Associates Degree programs in Dover, Georgetown, or Wilmington). With the stats you reported I have little doubt you will be accepted into some program at UD. IMO if you did well in your AP classes (all A’s and B’s) you probably have a good shot at Newark. Even if you end up in an Associates Degree program if you are able to do well grade wise it generally is not difficult to then be accepted into the Newark Program to subsequently obtain your Bachelors Degree. I don’t want to scare you but you should be aware that math courses at UD are very tough no matter what campus you attend (the Professors in all the programs are all UD Professors). If math is a problem area for you you might want to consider some tutoring right from the beginning of classes. Don’t wait until you find yourself in a hole. UD does provide resources to help students who might be having problrms in any class-but you have to seek it out. Best wishes to you.

Have you taken or considered taking the ACT? You have until Nov 16th to register late for the December 8th ACT test. This test may be better suited for you.

Speaking to Mwallenmed’s point about Math…

My D took her UD math requirement online thru Delaware Tech during her senior year. She felt that she would get in, and being able to take it online with a tutor helping her, removed the stress from taking the math requirement on campus as a frosh…She is so happy she did it. Of course, if you have a major with additional math requirements, this advice may not be so perfect…

@Educationisfree I feel your pain. My GPA is a 3.8, but the first time I took the SAT my score ended up being a 1430. But after retaking it, my score also increased to a 1540! Good luck! You have the advantage since I’m a PA resident

I go to UD, I’m also a Delaware resident. It seems likely you’ll get in, my gpa was around that range, but I was a transfer student too. also big advantage your a Delaware student.
