What are my chances of getting into University of Michigan — Ann Arbor?

Job/Volunteer: SPCA, Medical City Junior Volunteer, J&JG Library Volunteer (I like reading & journalism), Animal Internship (I love animals!)
Summer Activites: Target cashier, private tutoring, traveled abroad to help the poor in India

Oh also I can write some bomb essays since I’m in journalism & I’ve also won a couple essay awards (nothing big)

If next year is anything like this year, it’s a roll of the dice. You are certainly in the ball park but if you read through the threads you’ll see folks with near perfect stats and ECs that were rejected or wait listed. My $.02 is to apply to schools with a wide range of acceptances, any of which you could see yourself attending. Be careful to apply to schools you can afford and/or are known for being very generous with aid packages. Lots of disappointment around aid packages on Michigan posts. My other advice is if a school has less than a 40% admit rate, it’s not a safety. Good luck!
