What are my chances of getting into wellesley with a low low low sat score?

Alright, so I'm in love with Wellesley. But I have one major problem and that's my sat score of 1720. I didn't really prepare for it and only found out about it's importance a couple months before I took the test. I have a tendency to over-analyze, and cannot concentrate in a crunched time environment. But I'm extremely passionate about so much and my GPA and actual intellectual ability just don't agree with my sat score AT ALL. I can bump this score up to an 1800 if i study hard enough but if so, can you tell me more or less what you feel about me applying to wellesley?

Recommendations
In the least cocky way possible, teachers seem to love me and I always seem to have the best relationships with them. I am pretty sure I can get AMAZING recommendations from more than 3 teachers, and EC mentors/advisors.

I also speak fluent spanish, english, and pretty good french.
Sat subject tests: french, 620 spanish, 690

I can write a KILLER essay (writing is my favorite thing) and i know i will be able to demonstrate my plight and passion to Wellesley. It' just my sat score. I am seriously a horrible test taker. At least standardized. i overanalyze, and seem to have anxiety issues once i start taking the test.
At school, i always seem to have extremely high test grades and do really well on projects,
its just the SAT/ACT that kind of ruins that, but i will retake and shoot for an 1800.

Alright, sorry for the length. So, what do you think are my chances at Wellesley?

Hi Paolasanlovez- I think Wellesley is a school that really looks into the whole package of the applicant. Your high GPA and class rank should definitely be helpful, as will your Latina ethnicity. It is a great idea to study for and retake the SAT’s. You might also think about the ACT’s since some students do better on that test.
Wellesley looks for demonstrated interest in applications. If you are really interested in Wellesley, think about applying early decision. That will be a boost to your application. Also, think about whether you can visit the school for an on-campus interview. That would give you the opportunity to speak with an admissions rep about your academic stregnths. Finally, really think about why wellesley and why an all women’s college are important to you and clearly articulate that in your application. You will need to convey that to your interviewer (whether on campus or alumna) and in your written application.
Wellesley is an amazing school - I know, I went there! Good luck with the college application process.

Practice. Take practice SAT exams and time yourself so you get used to the format. If you keep trying, you’ll definitely make a high mark.

I had a similar score (1800) and I applied to a vast amounts of schools. I just never really sat down to study, so don’t procrastinate. You can do it, especially since you’re this early in the application process.

Other than that, you seem to have a good chance, but then again, I’m not the admissions office.

Best of luck!!! :)

Thank you so much! That means a lot especially considering that you went to my DREAM school! so helpful :)

Thanks, i should definitely sit down and study! I will hopefully raise that score :)
