I’m also open to suggestions for other good New England engineering schools. (not wentworth though)

If you don’t think your essays will be strong, begin working on them now and have as many people read them as you can. That is often difference between rejection and acceptance at many schools on your list

It’s not New England, but look at RPI. I know a few kids there for engineering and they seem very happy. They also received good merit aid.

Do you want to run in college?

I think you have your colleges sorted correctly and a good shot at your matches. Reaches are a crapshoot for everyone, so who knows?

Congrats on the impressive Eagle Scout attainments!

@goblue8721, I’ve mostly finished the Common App except for the essays. I looked at the essay prompts for the schools I’m interested in and need to do some brainstorming for what I want to write about.

@doschicos, I would like to run in college but as of last year my times aren’t fast enough for D1. My mile is 5:15 when D1 is around 4:15-4:30. I could see myself getting my time down around 4:30-5:00 making a D2 or D3 school.

Trinity College in CT offers engineering, one (only?) of the LACs in New England to do so.
