Hi, I was wondering if anyone could say what they think my chances are of being admitted into the UW. I will be applying for the upcoming winter quarter. I am currently at Bellevue College. My first year at BC, I received B’s and C’s. This year however, I have been receiving straight A’s. I plan on taking classes over the summer, and if I receive straight A’s the rest of this year, my GPA will be about 3.4. Do they take grade improvement like this into consideration? I also have over 100 hours of community service, am an Eagle scout, and was enrolled in Spanish immersion for 8 years since the first grade. I plan on majoring in Law Societies and Justice. The LSJ major specific pre-requisites are only offered at UW, so I can’t complete any of them at BC. I think my personal statement is fairly good. I talk about really personal hardships, and how they made me a better person in the end. I also say what my intended major is in my personal statement, and my career aspirations. What do you think my chances are of being accepted? I’m really worried because I can’t afford to go out of state, and UW is the only college I want to attend in WA.Thanks for any feedback!
